Climate-HIV is a specialised Electronic Patient Record (EPR) solution designed specifically to support multi-disciplinary teams treating patients living with HIV. Our hosted solution provides the whole clinical team with fast access to patient data and halves the administration needed to write GP letters and referrals. The solution can be used to help educate the patient whilst recording all the patient information in one place.Download brochure
Climate-HIV is a specialised solution which has all your HIV patients’ data in a hosted EPR. All audit compliance measures are incorporated automatically to ensure improvement of the service throughout the entire care pathway. Public Health England requires the HIV and AIDS Reporting System (HARS) data set to be submitted quarterly. Climate-HIV was one of the first fully compliant solutions to test these HARS data set submissions.
Climate-HIV is web-enabled, eliminating the need to install software on individual workstations. The system can be accessed by approved staff from any NHS computer. All Climate-HIV patient data is streamed over the HSCN or N3 network using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) industry standard encryption to encapsulate the patient data transferred between clinician and the secure Idox Health cloud.
All data stored in the Idox Health Cloud is also securely encrypted. Our hosted solutions provides for a simplified maintenance program and easy administration of updates when required and all the cost savings are passed on to you, allowing you to benefit from significant cost reduction compared to an on premise installation.
Packed with powerful features.
Climate-HIV is a web-based application accessible from your trust computer. All Climate-HIV patient data is streamed over the HSCN or N3 network, depending on your preference, using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) industry standard encryption to protect the patient data transferred between clinician and the secure Idox Health cloud. All data stored in the Idox Health Cloud is also securely encrypted.
Climate-HIV enables you to manage your patients proactively and safely as you can see trends of results starting to go the wrong way before the patient starts to feel ill.
Climate-HIV can increase clinicians’ efficiency by 20-30% enabling them to dedicate more time to patient care, undertake more assessments, therefore improving the service and patient outcomes
Climate-HIV provides all medication and financial information for a patient’s treatment plan e.g. any duplication of prescriptions which could increase costs, prediction of run-out times, assistance for pharmacists and business managers to monitor, control and forecast the usage and costs of drugs from a daily basis to annual requirements.
Our solution gives you all you need at a glance. Climate-HIV does this by displaying all your patient data in a single screen giving you fast access to all the crucial data.
The vast information available allows you to keep your patients in regular attendance. Clinical staff can easily identify possible non-attenders through early indicators, such as high Viral Load counts for patients without any visits planned in the short term or patients with close prescription run out dates. Definite non-attenders can also be identified through reporting on missed appointments and patients with any expired prescriptions.
Climate-HIV makes it easier and safer to prescribe, document patient encounters, write clinical letters and code diagnoses. Inputting the data at the point of care eliminates duplication of activities and the need for additional staff.
Clinical letters and reports can be generated automatically, reducing costs and improving efficiency as dedicated clerical staff are no longer required to complete such tasks.
Consolidates all data for HARS data set submissions, reducing the trust’s exposure to massive revenue loss whilst saving hours of data managers' time. HARS compliant by Public Health England (ISB 1570)
Climate-HIV makes best use of the SNOMED-CT coding system for diagnoses, findings, conditions and actions in healthcare. This enables clinicians to document the patient’s ‘story’ in everyday language and quickly choose the best SNOMED-CT category where needed via the built-in intuitive user interface.
Delivered to your entire clinical team without the need to invest in expensive IT infrastructure or complex networks. Idox Health maintains Climate-HIV in our secure data centre, so there is no need for you to invest in hardware, hardware maintenance and repair, server replacement, cabling, cooling, space or the expertise to manage and maintain all that investment.
You can just see Climate-HIV has been designed by clinicians, not by number crunchers. They understand how we work – and have built the software around it.
Climate-HIV helps our patients understand how keeping their medication stable can help them stay healthier.
The to-do list is great – I can keep track of all those things, small and big. No more ‘post it’ notes around my computer screen!
Timed my HARS creation using Climate-HIV and upload to PHE. Took 96 seconds, including logging in. Before Climate-HIV it took 2 weeks!
All I need to see about my patient is on one screen – their CD4, viral load, treatment, diagnoses, allergies, resistance, even reminders of things to do. Whilst the patient is with me they have my full attention. After the consultation, I have lots of well-designed pages where I can document with as much detail as I want. And if all is OK with my patient, I can just write a brief note and the job is done in a minute.
Patients with HIV often require a range of tests and can suffer from a wide variety of complications. If that is all stored in different IT systems and paper records, you need a lot of time to review all the details. I have more time talking to my patient, because I have all the information on the screen with Climate-HIV. It is safer because we won’t miss important details, and the patient can see the benefits of their treatment on the screen with some helpful graphs. Climate-HIV fits to the doctor’s actions like a glove fits to a surgeon’s hands.
So far I am very impressed with Climate-HIV. It’s potential for improving patient care, facilitating audit and research is clear. Furthermore, report generation for collecting epidemiological information is a breath of fresh air and will save our staff hundreds of hours.
