6PM is pleased to announce that its CareSolutions™ product Climate-HIV is now live at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. Climate-HIV helps to make Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust paper-lite and is another step towards a complete electronic patient record. It has also helped the Trust to become one of the top 10% of HIV services fully compliant with the latest dataset from Public Health England.
Climate-HIV is a joint venture between 6PM plc and the North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust. The product is a specialised Electronic Care Record (ECR) system for HIV medicine. Having all the patients’ data in an EPR provides all the clinical team with a fast access to patient data, helps educate the patient, halves the administration needed to write GP letters and referrals and records all the patient information in one place.
All audit and conformance measures are incorporated automatically to ensure improvement of the service throughout the care pathway. This includes the HARS data-set which will be mandatory for Public Health England by 2014-15 for which Climate-HIV was the first HARS compliant approved product.
Steve Wightman, Deputy CEO of 6PM said: “Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is one in a list of trusts using 6PM’s Climate-HIV. The product not only presents the clinician with dashboards telling them everything they need to know about the patient but it also enables the Trust to forecast what the spend in HIV medicine is going to be to the end of a financial year.”
Dr Immy Ahmed of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust said: “Combined with data from patients’ regular tests, Climate-HIV helps our patients understand how keeping their medication stable can help them stay healthier. It means the Trust is amongst the best in the country at managing the ongoing treatment of patients who are HIV positive.”
