6PM has won EMC’s Partner Innovation Award for Outstanding Solution for Healthcare for its Integrated Electronic Documentation and Medical Records Management Solution (EDMS). 6PM Chief Sales Officer Steve Wightman and Chief Technical Officer Brian Zarb Adami were in Berlin on Monday 31 October to receive the award.
Commenting on the award, Ivan Bartolo CEO of 6PM said: “Over the last three years we have put a lot of energy into becoming a Key player within the Health market. I feel that our efforts have now gained significant recognition. Last year we found ourselves as preferred partners with NHS Innovations; and this year we are the Award Winners of the EMC² Partner Innovation Award for our outstanding solution for Healthcare. During those three years 6pm has evolved in the Health segment from producing and delivering generic Health solutions to specific Administrative solutions and now Clinical solutions. I take this opportunity to thank EMC² as nothing is more flattering than having a comparatively small organisation like 6pm being recognised by a Global Player such as them.”
The Integrated Electronic Documentation and Medical Records Management Solution (EDMS) for Healthcare is an easy to use solution which has been developed by 6pm in partnership with a number of NHS Trusts. The solution converts paper clinical records into electronic images that can be managed and archived for future retrieval directly from the Care Record System.
EDMS takes into account the need for security due to personal data held within the system, it is integrated with the NHS Spine Single Log-in in order to authenticate the user and verify their user rights. All access to the system and modifications to the documents are audited and logged in order to provide backwards traceability.
6PM provides unique and flexible IT solutions and services specialising in Information Management, Business Intelligence and Document Management solutions. The company has a forward thinking, “Can do” attitude which is supported by an Agile approach to project delivery enabling them to develop strategic long term partnerships with NHS Trusts dedicated to meet their information and document management needs.
Chris McLaughlin, Vice President of Channels and Alliances for EMC’s Information Intelligence Group: “EMC is pleased with the excitement and success our partners have demonstrated in getting these solutions certified in the first few months of the program. But, we believe our customers are the real winners, as they can confidently look to automate business processes and realize higher levels of value from our solutions, more quickly and with less risk, than ever before.”
